Community Guidelines

Rightee is a place for golfers. These guidelines set out what is allowed and what is not. They form part of our Terms of Service. They apply to everything you do on Rightee: your profile, your posts, your photos, your comments, your group chats, your direct messages, your display name and the rounds you share.

If you break these rules, we will act. Keep reading to see how.

The short version

Treat other people the way you would want to be treated on the first tee. Play it as it lies, count every shot, and do not be the reason someone stops enjoying the game.

What is not allowed

Illegal content

Never post, send, or share content that is illegal. This includes, and is not limited to:

• Child sexual abuse material, or any content that sexualises a child. We report this to law enforcement without exception.
• Grooming, or any attempt to contact a child for a sexual purpose.
• Terrorist content, or content that encourages or supports terrorism.
• Threats to kill, injure or rape anyone.
• Content that encourages or assists suicide or serious self-harm.
• Harassment, stalking, or a course of conduct intended to cause someone alarm or distress.
• Hate speech, or content that stirs up hatred against people because of race, religion, sex, sexual orientation, disability, gender identity or nationality.
• Intimate images shared without the subject's consent, and threats to share them.
• Content that facilitates fraud, the supply of illegal drugs, or the supply of weapons.
• Content that infringes someone else's intellectual property.

Nudity and sexual content

Rightee is not the place for it. No nudity, no sexual content, no sexually suggestive content, no links to it. This applies to profile photos and display names as well as posts.

Abuse and harassment

No bullying, no pile-ons, no slurs, no personal attacks, no unwanted sexual attention, no threats. Do not repeatedly contact someone who has told you to stop, and do not create a new account to get around a block.

Impersonation and dishonesty

Do not pretend to be another person, a golf professional, a golf club, a brand, or Rightee staff. Do not use someone else's photo as your profile picture.

Cheating

Rightee runs on trust. Do not deliberately enter false scores in a shared round, a leaderboard, a group competition or a side game. Do not manipulate your handicap. If you would not do it on a real scorecard, do not do it here.

Spam, scams and selling

No spam, no chain messages, no bulk unsolicited messages. No pyramid schemes, no crypto pitches, no "guaranteed tips". Do not use Rightee to advertise a business or to send people to another product without our permission.

Gambling

Rightee's side games let you and your playing partners keep score on a wager you have agreed between yourselves. That is all. You must not:

• promote or advertise a gambling operator, a bookmaker or a betting site;
• solicit money from other users;
• run a lottery, a competition or a pool through Rightee;
• offer to hold or handle other people's stakes.

Side games are for users aged 18 and over.

Privacy

Do not post someone else's personal information (address, phone number, workplace, club membership details) without their permission. Do not post a photo of an identifiable person without their permission, and never post a photo of a child who is not your own.

Anything that puts other people at risk

Do not encourage dangerous play, do not encourage anyone to ignore a course's safety instructions or weather warnings, and do not encourage anyone to drink drive from the 19th.

Report and block

Every post, comment, photo, message and profile in Rightee has a Report option. Every profile has a Block option.

Report sends it to us. We review reports promptly, and we prioritise anything illegal or anything that puts a child at risk.

Block takes effect immediately. A blocked user cannot message you, see your content, or appear in your feeds.

You can also report by emailing contact@4precision.co.uk. Tell us what the content is, where to find it, and why you are reporting it. If you believe content is illegal, say so, and tell us why.

If you or someone else is in immediate danger, contact the emergency services first.

What happens if you break these rules

Depending on what you did, and whether you have done it before, we may:

1. Remove the content.
2. Limit who can see the content.
3. Warn you.
4. Restrict your access to a feature (for example, posting, messaging, or side games).
5. Suspend your account.
6. Ban you permanently.
7. Report you to law enforcement.

For the most serious breaches, particularly anything involving a child, we go straight to a permanent ban and a report to the authorities. There is no warning and no second chance.

We will tell you what we have done and why, unless the law stops us, or telling you would put someone at risk or prejudice an investigation.

Appeals

If we removed your content or restricted your account and you think we got it wrong, email contact@4precision.co.uk within 30 days with "Appeal" in the subject line. Tell us what happened and why you think the decision was wrong. A person, not an automated system, will review it, and we will tell you the outcome.

If you are a young golfer

Rightee does not ask your age, so nobody can look at your profile and know how old you are. That means you have to look after yourself here. Three rules:

1. Only accept connection requests from people you actually know. Accepting someone lets them message you and see your rounds, your home course and your photos. Before you accept, you cannot be messaged and they can only see your name, your picture and your handicap.
2. If an adult you do not know tries to connect with you, or messages you, or asks you for photos, or asks to move the conversation to another app: do not reply. Block them. Report them. Then tell an adult you trust.
3. Never share where you play, when you play, or where you live with someone you have not met.

If you are a parent or guardian

Your child can be found by name in search and may be suggested to other golfers who have played the same courses. Until your child accepts a connection request, another user can see only their display name, profile photo and handicap, and cannot message them. Once your child accepts a request, that person can message them and see their rounds and their home course.

Talk to your child about who they accept. If you want your child's account removed, email contact@4precision.co.uk and we will delete it. If someone is contacting your child, report them in the app or email us and we will act.

Moderation, and what we can and cannot see

We use automated filters to block certain words and to screen images before they are posted, and we review reports by hand. We do not read every message, and we cannot catch everything. If you see something that breaks these rules, report it. That is what makes this work.
