Delete Your Data

This page explains how to delete your Rightee account and the personal data linked to it. You do not need to be signed in to read it.

1. Delete your account in the app

This is the quickest way, and it takes effect straight away.

1. Open the Rightee app on your iPhone or Android phone and sign in.
2. Go to your Profile, tap Edit profile, then tap Delete Account.
3. Confirm. You are signed out and your account is deleted.

2. Delete your account on the website

1. Sign in at rightee.golf/account.
2. Scroll to Delete account at the bottom of your profile.
3. Type DELETE in the box and press Delete my account.

3. If you signed in with Facebook

You can also ask for your data to be deleted from Facebook, without opening Rightee:

1. In Facebook, go to Settings and privacy, then Settings, then Apps and websites.
2. Find Rightee and select Remove.
3. Tick the option to delete the data Rightee holds about you, and confirm.

Facebook then sends us a deletion request. We delete the Rightee account linked to your Facebook login and give Facebook a confirmation code. You can check the progress of that request on the deletion status page with the code Facebook shows you.

4. Ask us by email

If you cannot sign in, or you would rather we did it for you, email contact@4precision.co.uk from the email address on your account, with the subject "Delete my account". We may ask you to verify your identity first. We will reply within one month.

5. What is deleted

• Your profile: name, username, email address, photo, handicap and your sign-in details (including any Apple, Google or Facebook link). Your account can no longer be used to sign in.
• Your posts, stories, comments, likes and photos, your friends list, your notifications and notification settings, and your location history.
• The text of the messages you sent. The conversation stays for the other people in it, without your content.
• Rounds you played with other people stay on their scorecards, but no longer show who you are.

We delete or irreversibly anonymise this data within 30 days. Deleted data is purged from our backups within 30 days. A small amount of data may be kept for longer where the law requires or permits it, for example records of purchases, as set out in section 10 of our Privacy Policy.

Deleting your account does not cancel an App Store or Google Play subscription. Cancel it in your phone's subscription settings so you are not charged again.
